Yesterday Google released a new photo management app. It is now available throw Android, iOS and the web and it will no longer by tied into Google+. Although Google claims that this is a new product it is still very similar to its predecessor with much of the same UI and features however that doesn’t mean there aren’t any new features worth talking about… All your photos will now be organized into a timeline like fashion and you will be able to automatically search for a specific photo without tagging the photo in any way. So, for example, you will be able to search for something like “beach” or “snow” and it will show you pictures related to what you searched for, it truly is a clever little feature and works almost every time. Also all photos that are uploaded to the service are private by default and as of now Google has no way of combing throw your photos for advertizing information. Sharing is also much easier, you can quickly select large groups of photos and share them with family and friends. As of this point you may be wondering, how Google Photos stands out from the completion? Well, Google Photos will allow you to store an unlimited amount of photos and videos. (maximum photo size 16 megapixels and videos up to 1080p). Many other free services such as Drop Box give you a limit on how many photos you can add and if you want unlimited you have to pay. What do you guys think about Google Photos? Do you plan on using it? Tell me in the comments below.
