DSC_9592-1024_large_verge_super_wideAfter months of speculation and leaks Google finally has released their new Nexus 5. The new flagship comes with high end specs with a mid range price point. It has a beautiful 5 inch 1080p screen with gorilla glass 3, along with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip and a 2.3 Gigahertz processor. The new Nexus will also be the first Android phone to ship with Android 4.4 Kit Kat, Google’s latest update to their incredibly popular mobile operating system. The update, despite being only a 0.1 update, brings a surprising amount of new features to the table. With the new dialer app you can search for businesses in your area and directly call them from the app. Google Now has also received many improvements; you can now activate it from the home screen by saying “Ok Google”. Google Now will be able to give you more relevant information based on your location. Google has also made the system requirements for the OS much lower, so many older devices will be able to update without any significant loss in overall performance. The new Nexus is available now on the Play Store for a very affordable price of $349 for the 16GB model in the US. The phone will also be available on the the major carriers in the US besides Verizon.
