Revolutionary “illumiroom” feature won’t be available with the next gen xbox at launch.

Illumiroom is some really neat technology that extends your gaming experience outside of the TV. Illumiroom uses Microsoft’s Kinect to scan a room and create a digital map of its surroundings. It then creates illusions around the television, with colors that match the main colors of the game you’re playing. Watch the video at the end of this post for a more detailed explanation. It is some really interesting technology and may have been a feature that would have distinguished the Xbox 720 from its competitors. But recently Microsoft Research’s Hrvoje Benko and Brett Jones told Engadget  that Microsoft’s New generation Xbox will not include illumiroom’s technology at launch, but they did say that Microsoft is currently still developing the technology. What do you think of illumiroom? Would you use it? Tell me your opinion in the comments below. Also don’t forget to like and comment on this post.
